Continuing the 25/26 Season
Second part of Jonathan Fournel’s season include major debuts at La Seine Musicale and the Wigmore Hall, an artist-in-residence appearance at the Edesche Concertzaal, and debuts with Camerata RCO - members of the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra -, and the Orchestre Philharmonique de Strasbourg.
Chamber music remains central with ongoing collaborations alongside Simone Lamsma and Victor Julien-Laferrière, concerts at the Heidelberger Frühling Musikfestival, the Sol Gabetta & Friends Festival, and celebratory concerts marking 150 years of the Queen Elisabeth Competition in Belgium.
The season also features the second edition of the Songes Musicaux Festival, culminating in several chamber music programmes across France.

Highlights of Jonathan Fournel’s new season include two concerts at the Edesche Concertzaal, one with violinist Simone Lamsma and the other with cellist Victor Julien-Laferrière, a return to the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, a debut with the Orchestre de Picardie performing Brahms’s Piano Concerto No. 2, a tour in Japan in November, a reunion with Pascal Rophé conducting the Croatian Radiotelevision Symphony Orchestra in Ravel’s Left Hand Concerto, and a festive end to the year marked by his first performances with the Symfoniorkest Vlaanderen on a Belgium tour featuring Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 21.

Jonathan Fournel steps in for Seong-Jin Cho
Jonathan Fournel will play his recital programme on 1 June at the Tivoli Concert Hall in Copenhagen, Denmark, stepping in for Seong-Jin Cho.
We wish Seong-Jin a quick recovery.
Queen Elisabeth Competition 2025
Jonathan Fournel will be joining host Caroline Veyt and presenter Pierre Solot to discuss the performances of the last two finalists in the Queen Elisabeth Competition on La Trois and Audio / RTBF.
RTBF (the Belgian French-language public radio and television service) will be covering the final of the Queen Elisabeth Competition from Monday 26 May to Saturday 31 May on its television channel La Trois and its radio channel Musiq3.

Upcoming concerts 2025
New year, new concerts!
Jonathan Fournel is happy to announce his return to Paris at the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées on 12 January, where he’ll be sharing the stage with Victor Julien-Laferrière to perform sonatas by Mendelssohn, Kodály and Brahms.
He will also bring his recital program of Bach, Brahms, Szymanowski and Liszt to several venues, making his debut at the Salle Philharmonique in Liège on 2 March and at the Auditorium de Radio France on 29 April.
